STEAM

STUDIO

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art,
Maths.

We have put together some fun STEAM Studio experiments that are easy to try at home! But we won't always give away the whole experiment... half the fun is discovering the solution in your own way!

BUSY CODE TUTORIAL

Busy Code is an exciting introduction to basic coding concepts for 5-12 year olds.  Have fun making the Busy Things Beard Man walk and dance. Enjoy step-by-step tutorials, challenges and projects that get progressively more complex at each level.

All you need is your library card!

ELEPHANT

TOOTHPASTE

It's quick, fun and easy to do from home. But beware, it can get messy!

The yeast contains an enzyme called Catalase that breaks down hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into oxygen gas and water. The oxygen gas gets trapped by the soap, and you get a large foamy solution that squirts out of the top of the bottle!

Using 6% Hydrogen peroxide is even more effective in creating the Elephant Toothpaste flow.

Children under 12 will require parental supervision for this activity
